Sarah is an independent Sydney-based public relations professional specialising in travel and tourism. Together with a nimble admin support team, we work across a portfolio of travel clients that are complementary to each other, offering a ‘one stop shop’ function, lots of opportunities for cross-promotion and a central resource for media.

We believe fostering mutually beneficial working relationships with media, clients and industry stakeholders is essential to successful PR.

We work in the style of in-house consultant, delivering all the benefits of a team member with the flexibility of a PR agency and use our contacts in the industry to deliver further reach and value. Working with Sarah Shields PR means clients work directly with us and benefit from senior knowledge, experience and attention to detail.

Our experience in PR and communications spans the breadth of the travel and tourism sector, including in luxury lodges, regional tourism authorities, tour operators, cruise lines and airlines.

A focus on travel and tourism has established a network of industry stakeholders and contacts as well as a thorough understanding of the travel sector.

As a tourism specialist, our contacts cover the full gamut of media in Australia and travel media in overseas markets. Through travelling with senior editors and writers over several years we have developed close personal relationships that offer a high degree of editorial leverage.

Our media contact list is one of our most valuable assets, is always kept up to date and spans several areas of interest, from travel and tourism to news, adventure, food and wine, wellness and culture. The list spans overseas as well as Australian national titles and state and regional titles.

We look forward to working with you to share your stories about products, paces, experiences and people to an audience of engaged travellers in Australia and around the world.
